OUR HISTORY
Before 2021, gender and anti-sexual harassment initiatives at UP Mindanao were managed under a single office, the Office of Gender and Anti-Sexual Harassment (OGASH). To strengthen focus and improve effectiveness, the University approved a reorganization that led to the separation of Gender and Development (GAD) and Anti-Sexual Harassment (ASH) functions starting in 2021.

Provision of Resource Speaker for GAD Activities
The UP Mindanao Gender and Development Office provides resource speakers for gender and development activities upon request, supporting units, offices, and stakeholders in promoting gender awareness and inclusive practices.
Request to Conduct GAD Orientation
The UP Mindanao Gender and Development Office facilitates GAD orientations for students, student organizations, faculty, partner institutions, schools, and local government units to promote gender awareness and gender-responsive practices.
Assistance and verification of Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines Checklist’s (HGDG) scores
The UP Mindanao Gender and Development Office assists in reviewing and verifying HGDG checklist scores for projects, ensuring accuracy and proper attribution for faculty, units, and stakeholders.
Breastfeeding Station
Breastfeeding Station
UPMin GAD Office provides a safe and private breastfeeding space for nursing mothers, with a second room soon to be equipped with a crib for babies. This service is open to all members of the campus comminity.
