The UP Mindanao Gender and Development (GAD) Office implements flagship programs that promote gender equality, inclusivity, and gender awareness across the University. These programs focus on capacity-building, advocacy, and community engagement through regular trainings, campaigns, and forums.
18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW)
The UP Mindanao GAD and ASH staff participated in the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW Ceremony led by the Integrated Gender and Development Division (IGDD) of the LGU on November 25, 2025, at the SM Annex Activity Center, Ecoland, Davao City.
In support of the campaign, the GAD Office also installed an advocacy tarpaulin within the campus to mark the observance.
Gender Sensitivity Orientation (GSO)
A series of orientation sessions conducted to promote gender awareness, respectful behavior, and understanding of GAD and Anti-Sexual Harassment (ASH) policies among members of the UP Mindanao community.

An annual advocacy initiative observed by UP Mindanao to recognize women’s rights, achievements, and contributions through campus-wide participation and collaborative activities.
